I consider myself to be an independent voter, although I admittedly lean towards the left in most cases. I feel strongly that the the polarized overly-heated discussions about current affairs that are taking place today are not helping to lead this country down a reasonable path. Too many of us, including myself, have knee-jerk reactions to things, are listening too much to talking heads on TV rather than thinking things out for ourselves and using a rational thought process to come to a conclusion. From now on, I am going to take the time to research things for myself and make my own conclusions on what I find. I encourage comments and feedback from all sides, as long as the comments and feedback are constructive to helping myself and others reach a conclusion as to what the real facts are.
